McKenzie Method

Patients around the world have used the McKenzie Method to manage their back and neck pain successfully. If you have tried more conservative, non-invasive therapies, such as exercise and the McKenzie Method, to treat your pain and it has not helped, you might need surgery. Fortunately, back surgery does not have to be the traumatic experience it once was.

The Bonati Institute has been performing innovative arthroscopic spine surgery for nearly 25 years. Using our minimally invasive laser-assisted procedures, The Bonati Institute has helped thousands of patients find relief from their pain and other symptoms caused by arthritis, osteoporosis, herniated dics, slipped discs, spondylosis, nerve pain, facet syndrome, and many other spine and neck ailments.

The McKenzie Method is a series of back and neck extension exercises used to bring spine pain in the body back into the spine. It is thought that centralizing the pain helps patients manage it more effectively. This method was developed in the 1960s by a New Zealand physical therapist named Robin McKenzie. The McKenzie Method should not be used by patients with facet joint disease or spinal stenosis, so see your doctor before you begin.
