Facet Joint Arthritis

Facet joint arthritis can be a major source of pain. Facet joints connect your vertebrae together; there are two on the back of each vertebra. The facet joints are normally covered with cartilage and fluid, but with the aging process, arthritis can cause the cartilage to break down and the bones to rub together, resulting in pain.
